We study plant responses to flooding. Like heatwaves and drought, severe flooding events are on the rise globally. This trend is predicted to continue in the coming decades, posing a serious threat to food security.

 

 

Our mission is to understand how plants perceive, respond and acclimate to flooding.

 

I no longer update this website. Since 2022 I am leading a new research group at Utrecht University 'Plant Stress Resilience'.
